MISSION at Pinecrest Presbyterian takes many forms. We have a longstanding commitment to the children of migrant workers. We
provide support to a classroom of junior kindergarteners  with parties, supplies, Christmas gifts and hope! In the past we have also paid for a funeral for a child. We support two children, one in Bolivia, one in Kenya, so they can go to school. We participate in our denomination's JOY GIFT OFFERING and the ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING every year.
Our Christmas Eve Offering goes to a local or global destination. The 2019 Offering went to provide meals for people in the Bahamas. We also receive an offering at the Blessing of the Beasts which is given to a no-kill shelter or other animal rescue organization.
There are other opportunities throughout the year: SOUPER BOWL Sunday usually generates 200 cans of soup which we give to a local organization providing groceries to those homebound because of HIV/AIDS. SHOES FOR ORPHAN SOULS provides a new pair of shoes for children after disasters or children in refugee camps or orphanages. We also serve lunch once a month at the Chapman Partnership for our homeless brothers and sisters. We always bring home-baked cookies as a  treat. Once a year we also provide monies for a SPECIAL dinner with all the fixings!
